José Cristóbal G. B. is 45 years old and lives with his common-law wife in Ventanas canton, in Los Rios province. He has four children: 21 year-old Cintya, 15 year-old Alexander, 12 year-old Jonathan and 11 year-old Jordán.

The Nuevo Amanecer (New Dawn) community bank is located in San Luís de Zapotal neighborhood, in Ventanas canton. This community bank has 12 members who all work in short-cycle agriculture, growing corn and rice.

José Cristóbal is a farmer who grows corn, soy and rice. He buys his products in Agro Servicios, in San Jacinto and sells his products in the same place.

José Cristóbal is requesting this loan so that he can sow his corn, soy and rice. He will buy supplies and seeds and pay workers. The support of this loan will help him to financially cover his needs. He faces challenges in his work such as pests, plant diseases and changes in the weather. His dream is to own his own vehicle.
