A loan of $725 helped buying seeds.

Faustina's story

Faustina is 46 years old, widowed and lives in her own home with her 6 dear children. The green fields of one village of Samugari, located in the Ayacuchana jungle, have been, for Faustina, a very pleasant place to work and live. With the support of her husband, now deceased, they bought their own land to plant coca, coffee and cocoa. But since her beloved husband died, she has become the pillar of the house key to the fate of their children, which is why she works with great dedication and sacrifice.

What she likes best about her job is to harvest the land, since she feels this arduous work is the fruits of her labor. She has been doing this for 20 years and the hardest part is transporting her crops to the city of San Francisco, where she sells. Also, it is very expensive to transport her products. In time, Faustina is counting on making enough money to buy new land.

This is her 15th loan from MFP and she knows that she is responsible for paying all of her dues on time and is willing to do so. In the community bank she is always aware that the agreements between her and her peers are for the common good. With the money requested she will buy seeds for her land.
