Takku Ligueye Group's story

The solidarity group Takku Ligueye was set up 2 years ago. It is made up of 13 women who come from different neighborhoods but who have been brought together by the City Lamy Banc Villageois.

Mrs. Maguette M., at the far right of the photo, waving, is the group's leader. She is a widow, and the mother of 5 dependent children. She is a retailer, selling various products such as fabric, kitchen wares and fruit juice. With her new loan, she will buy merchandise for a total of 300,000 CFA francs and the remaining 100,000 CFA francs will be used to make fruit juice. With the profit, she will be able to pay for food, healthcare and schooling for her children.
