A loan of $625 helped to buy manure and insecticides to improve his land.

Napoleon's story

Napoleón is 42 years old. He is a very kind and hard-working man who lives in his own home together with his wife Abelina (41) and his three young children for whom he would like to provide a better quality of life.

Very early every day, Napoleón goes out to work in his fields. He does not have rest days since he has to work on his farm continually in order to produce good crops. His main crops are coffee and bananas which he sells wholesale in the city of Pichanaki. What he most likes about his work is the freedom that he has working on his crops since he can freely enjoy his green fields. He has been in this business for 35 years and he considers the most difficult part of his work to be protecting his crops from the pests that can ravage them. In the future, he plans to buy new land so that he can increase his production.

This is Napoleón's third loan with MFP. He has always been very punctual in making his repayments and he hopes to continue this. Napoleón is a very well-liked member of his community bank because he is very happy. He plans to invest the 1,700 Peruvian soles he has requested in buying the manure and insecticides he needs to improve his crops.
