A loan of $375 helped to buy manure and insecticides to improve her crops.

Celia's story

Celia is 26 years old. She is a very kind and hard-working woman who lives in her own home with her husband, 30 year-old Walter. What Celia wishes for more than anything is to improve her quality of life.

Together with her husband, Celia works every day on her crops. Through a lot of hard work, she has managed to make her land very productive and now she grows a bit of everything since she knows that every crop she grows will be very good quality. She mainly grows bananas and coffee since these are the most requested products in the market in the town of Pichanaki.

What Celia most likes about her work is protecting her crops from pests that could affect them. She has been in this business for 10 years and she considers the most difficult part of her work to be transporting her crops to remote areas. In the future, she hopes to buy a larger quantity of land so that she can increase her current production.

This is Celia's second loan with MFP. She feels that this loan will help her a lot in carrying out her business. She is a very responsible member of her community bank and she is very proud of this fact. Celia plans to invest the 1,000 Peruvian soles she is requesting in improving her crops. To this end, she will buy manure and insecticides. In this way, she hopes to improve her profits.
