Elvira's story

Elvira O. is from the village of Bacnor East, Burgos, Isabela. She is 50 years old. Elvira is married and has two school-aged children. To make a living, she provides motorcycle transportation services. Elvira has been engaged in her business for over ten years and earns approximately 5000 Php a month for these activities.

In 2006, Elvira joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. She has successfully repaid a previous loan of 15,000 PHP from ASKI. This previous loan was used to purchase tires and other motorcycle accessories.

Elvira is requesting a new loan of 16,000 PHP which will be used to repair the motorcycle for better service. This will be her 9th loan from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to pay the tuition fees of her children.
