A loan of $1,000 helped purchase livestock feed.

Romel's story

Romel lives in Semsembra in the department of Morazán with his wife and two children. Romel is 39 years old. He raises livestock and makes dairy products such as curd, cheese and cream. He has been in this business for a long time since his family has always raised livestock and sold dairy products. Currently, he counts on the support of some of his brothers-in-law and friends. The benefit of this business is that production is year-round and that he has experience with livestock.

Romel is requesting a loan to buy middlings and hay (grass) because he has to buy this feed for the livestock during the summer season because the grasses are dried depending on the season. This loan will help a lot in covering the livestock feed for a long time. The risks are minimal in this business and because of the experience he has he finds a way in advance to maintain the livestock in good condition so that they can always produce milk.

His dream is to be able to provide his children and wife with a better life. This is why he works so that his family can have stable conditions by providing the necessary for them. He also wants to develop and grow in the agricultural field.
