Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $3,000 helped to purchase a large variety of goods for her store.

Hanan's story

Hanan O. is the mother of two daughters and four sons. Hanan's son, who is studying in the university and who helps his mother in the store, appears in the picture here, as she is a religious woman like most of Gaza Strip’s citizens.

Hanan and her husband and children, who are students, live in Rafah in Gaza Strip. Her husband owns a grocery shop. The store is the only source of income for the family; therefore, Hanan and her husband want to improve it and sell a larger variety of goods to attract more customers. That is why she is requesting a loan from FATEN.
