A loan of $900 helped to buy jackets to stock her business.

Lourdes's story

Lourdes is 38 years old. She lives in her own home together with her husband and two children. Together they work hard every day to get ahead.

For the past 7 years, this enterprising woman has been selling clothes and shoes which she offers from door to door, to her neighbors and friends. She provides her merchandise on credit and, in accordance with the repayment terms that she has agreed with her customers, she returns to collect payment later. This is why she always has detailed control of her sales, so that she doesn't make any losses. Through her good management of her business money, she has managed to set herself up with a number of customers who make regular purchases from her. In the future, she plans to carry out this business activity with a view to setting up a permanent sales location.

This is Lourdes' ninth loan with MFP and she pledges to make her repayments on time. She likes being part of her community bank because all the members are responsible people and very supportive of each other. She would also like to thank the people who will make this loan possible as it will be very useful to her in making progress in her business.

Lourdes plans to invest her money in buying a larger quantity of merchandise and she hopes to take advantage of the rainy season in her area to sell a large number of jackets.
