A loan of $700 helped a member to purchase sheep.

Raila's Group's story

Raila Z. is the treasurer of this group. She is 49 years old and lives in Kadamjai with her family. Her husband is a pensioner. Together they have raised two sons and two daughters. The younger son studies at university and the other children are married and live separately with their families.

In order to earn money to cover family expenses, Raila and her husband breed livestock. They have been doing it for 25 years. Reselling livestock animals after fattening them earns 2,000 KGS per month. With the money received from this loan Raila wants to purchase three sheep in order to increase the number of livestock. In the future she wants to see her younger son get married.
