Sar V. is a local farmer from the province of Kompong Cham. She and her husband earn an average daily income of $7 per day to support their whole family. Sar V. owns a piece of farmland that she inherited many years ago from her grandparents. She uses this land to grow rice crops. She has now decided to lease some land in order to plant peanuts to earn additional income. Because her savings are not sufficient, Sar V. would like a loan from Kiva, through HKL, to be used to lease a parcel of land for planting peanuts.

Note: Sar V., her husband and her granddaughter are pictured in the photo.
