A loan of $1,500 helped a member to purchase livestock feed.

Aisha's Group's story

Aisha M. is the leader of this group. She lives in Kadamjai, a small town in the south of Kyrgyzstan. She is 55 and married. Her husband is a retiree. Together they have raised three sons and three daughters. The youngest daughter studies at school and the other children are married and live with their families. To earn money, Aisha and her husband breed livestock. They resell the animals after fattening. In this way the family earns 5000 soms per month. With money received from the loan, the family wants to purchase feed for livestock. In the future, Aisha wants to increase the number of animals she raises and to improve the family’s living conditions.
