Tanya Patricia's story

In the city of Charapoto, the 11 of September Communal Bank meets every 15 days. The locality is known for its traditional culture and, also, for ts location, just a few minutes from 2 of the province's main beaches, namely San Jacinto and San Clemente.

Tanya is the founding member of the Communal Bank and she likes everything about the bank. She is 39 year of age, married, and she has 3 children from this union, aged 16, 14 and 12. They all study in school. Her husband is a school teacher.

Tanya has a shop that sells paper and, in addition, is a center of computer science services. Here, also, she sells Avon products (beauty products, cosmetics, perfumes, and accessories for ladies). Tanya works every day from 8:30 am until 7:00 pm. She has had this business for 2 years, expanding it little by little with loans from the Bank.

The present loan is to buy creams, perfumes, paper, and other articles for a stationers. Her dream is to own her shop, since she rents the one she has and this costs her part of her earnings.
