A loan of $375 helped to buy sneakers and sandals to sell.

Sandra's story

Sandra is 41 years old. She lives in her own home with her husband and five children who are still studying in school.

This hard-working woman has been selling toys for five years. However, in carrying out her work she discovered a workshop which makes brand-name sneakers. Now she sells brand-name sneakers as a street vendor on the outskirts of a very busy market in the city. She has been in this business for seven years and it is doing very well which makes her feel happy. However, she also feels very annoyed because she frequently has to change location as the people who work for the city don't allow her to stay in the same place for long.

As Sandra is an enterprising woman, in the future she would like to buy a stall in the market where she can sell her products as she doesn't want to lose her customers.

This is Sandra's tenth loan from MFP and she pledges to be responsible in making her repayments as she doesn't want to let down the people who have made it possible for her to receive the money that will allow her to keep working. Sandra plans to invest her loan money in buying sneakers and sandals as she would like to sell them during the summer season. In this way, she hopes to improve her profits.
