A loan of $825 helped to buy materials to stock her business.

Ana's story

Ana is 36 years old. She is a single mother and has a young son with whom she lives in her sister's house. For one year, this hard-working woman has been working in her sister's successful jewelry business. She makes necklaces, chains, earrings and other decorative items and business is going very well since her sister Honorata has many years of experience. For this reason, it hasn't been at all complicated for Ana and she very much enjoys weaving and putting together the chains since the more she produces, the more stores she supplies and the more she increases her profits. In the future she is thinking of working in this business independently. In this way, she hopes to make more profits so that she can fund her son's higher education.

This is Ana's first loan with MFP and she knows that the money will be very useful to her. She is a new member of her community bank. She joined on her sister's recommendation and she does not want to let down the other members as they have placed their trust in her. Ana plans to invest her loan money in buying materials such as alpaca wire and pearls amongst others. In this way she hopes to work gradually with her capital.
