Allahkanben Group's story

Benkadi is a group with an association with Allahkaben of the village of Kassene. The group is made up of 9 women members who are known through family and as neighbors. On average they are 48 years old. They are married and they each have at least 5 children. They carry out different business activities: sale of various merchandise and condiments. They live in large traditional families in Kassene, in the quarter of Tominian (Region of Segou in the Republic of Mali).

They have been merchants of various articles for many years. With the hope of meeting the demands of their growing clientele they have come together as a group this year to request a loan from Soro Yiriwaso. This is their first loan together.

Mariam Solo T. plans on investing her loan to purchase 1 ton of millet from the neighboring villages. She sells her products in the market in Tominian.

She expects to earn a monthly income of 19500 FCFA. It will allow her to repay her loan and to reinvest back into her business.
