The members of the group Soro Yiriwa (3 married women and 1 widow) have an average age of 31 and they each have 2 children. They live in monogamous families in Bougoula Ville, a quarter in the city of Sikasso (3rd administrative region of Mali).

They seek their eighth loan through the microfinance institution of Soro Yiriwaso (Kiva Field Partner) in order to meet client demand. This group of women sells fruits and vegetables with Madiala C., the leader of the group.

With her loan she hopes to purchase 30 sacks of oranges. She purchases her products in the large market in Sikasso and in the surrounding villages.

The fruit is resold in the large market of Sikasso and from their home to a clientele made up of both men and women. The sales are completed in cash and credit.

She expects to earn a monthly income of 50 FCFA, a part of which will be used to help her husband meet the daily expenses, and some will be reinvested back into the business.

Elles sont à leur huitième collaboration avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso afin de satisfaire le besoin de leur clientèle. Ce groupe de femmes fait le commerce de fruits et légumes avec MADIALIA C., la présidente du groupe.
Elle compte acheter avec son prêt, 30 sacs d’orange. Elle s’approvisionne au grand marché de Sikasso et dans les villages environnants.
Les fruits sont vendus au grand marché de Sikasso et à domiciles à une clientèle composée d’hommes et de femmes, en détails, au comptant et à crédit.
Elle envisage réaliser un bénéfice mensuel moyen de 50.000fcfa dont une partie sera utilisée pour l’appui de son mari dans les dépenses quotidiennes et l’autre partie sera investie dans les activités.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
