Bokk Jom Group's story

The solidarity group BOKK JOM was created on 5/14/10. It is made up of 12 women from the same neighborhood, who came together as neighbors and friends.

The group is part of the Banc Villageois of Fonk Sa Bopp Grand Louga. Ndeye Penda K., standing at the far right of the photo, is the group's leader. She is married and the mother of 2 dependent children. She also cares for her 7 grandchildren and nephew. For several years, she has been involved in sewing and embroidery, she also does hair styling. Her goal is to strengthen her activities and put a large amount of money into savings, as well as supporting the family's expenses for food.
