A loan of $1,075 helped to buy fertilizers and to pay laborers.

Pablo Antonio's story

Pablo Antonio A. was born into a very humble family of scarce economic means. When he was a boy he had to help his father farm. He currently grows coffee independently. Pablo is 47 years old, married, and has 6 children. He lives with his family in Nueva Marolica community, in the town of Patuca, Olancho.

Pablo considers that the advantage of growing coffee is that it is a product that sells quickly and fetches a good price although when he started out he had problems as there was no accessible road along which he could transport his produce to the market which is located outside of his area.

Pablo is requesting this loan because he needs to sow a 1.75 acre plot of land, buy fertilizers and pay laborers. With the support of this loan he will have a bigger plantation and he will have a bigger harvest. His goal is to grow a variety of crops and he is planning very soon to start growing bananas. This will help him to improve his family's quality of life.

This is Pablo's first loan cycle with FAMA and he gives his thanks in advance to the people who will read his story and support him.
