María Sonia's story

María Sonia B. D. M. is 34 years old and lives in Mejicanos, in the San Salvador department of El Salvador. She lives with her husband, three young children, sister, and two nephews. María is a very hardworking person who owns her own sewing shop. She also repairs and sells sewing machines with her husband who sells them in downtown San Salvador. Additionally, María makes children's clothing and bedding. She sells these items on the streets in downtown San Salvador. María is requesting a loan with the enormous wish of obtaining more materials to make garments with and to buy more sewing machines and some spare parts. In this way, María and her husband hope to improve their business which is the only source of income they have.
