A loan of $900 helped to buy two sacks of pea seeds.

Yolinda's story

Yolinda is 18 years old. She is married to 23 year-old Javier and they have one child: one year-old Mayvet. They live together as a family in their own home which is located in the town of San Juan.

Yolinda has been farming for 2 years. Her main crops are potatoes and peas which she looks after with a lot of commitment since she would like to provide her daughter with a good future. The hard work that she has done over the years have enabled her to acquire her own plot of farmland. After each harvest, she takes her produce to the wholesale market in Tarma, where she can observe the demand for products. As a result, she has been growing potatoes for some time. They are growing without real problems. As she is new in this business, Yolinda would like to improve her crops and become an excellent farmer.

This is Yolinda's first loan with MFP and, as a new member of her community bank, she is grateful for the opportunity that they are offering her and pledges to work hard. She will invest her loan in buying 2 sacks of pea seeds which she will sow on her farmland.
