A loan of $825 helped to buy ingredients to make meals.

Silvia's story

Silvia M. González lives in La Villita neighborhood, in Chicoasén, in the State Chiapas, Mexico. She lives with her common-law husband, Martin López López with whom she has three children who are in her care: 16 year-old Viridiana, 3 year-old Carolina and her youngest, 3 month-old Cristofer. Silvia sells meals and she is requesting this loan so that she can buy the ingredients she uses to prepare her meals. She has been in this business for seven and a half years and she says that it has gone well since she started. It was one of Silvia's sister-in-laws who pushed her to start this business. Her sister-in-law also works in this type of business and it has gone well for her so she encouraged Silvia to set up her own business selling meals and it has produced good results. During the seven years that she has been working, Silvia has obtained good results in her business which has enabled her to get her family ahead in life. This might have been in small ways but it has been very important for her. Silvia found out about the loans that we provide and she now takes part in our program. Her biggest dream is for her business to always remain stable and to keep going with this business that she enjoys so much
