The group is called “Risueñas de Atenco” (Cheerful people from Atenco). It is comprised of 12 members. Maria de los Remedios is one of the members. She is 30 years old, and she has a middle school education.

She is a merchant, and she makes shoe boxes. She has two children. She tells us that she started her business in a very small place measuring 1 x 1.5 meters. They did everything by hand. They made between 150 and 200 boxes a week. Two years ago they were sold some apparatus to facilitate the process of making the box. Now they make between 1,000 and 1,300 boxes a week.

This income gives them a living, and they are able to give their children what they need in order to become professionals in the future.

El grupo se llama Risueñas de Atenco está integrado por 12 clientas, en él se encuentra la señora Ma De Los Remedios quien tiene 30 años, estudió hasta la secundaria, es comerciante fabrica caja para el zapato. Ella tiene 2 hijos, la sra nos platica que inició su negocio hace 12 años en un local pequeñito de una medida de 1X1.5mt todo lo hacian manual ya que a la semana hacian entre 150 a 200 cajas como a los 2 años les vendieron unos aparatos para facilitar el proceso de la caja, hoy en dia realizan entre 1000 a 1300 cajas por semana lo cual es un ingreso que les da para vivir y poder darle a sus hijos lo necesario para que el dia de mañana sean unos profesionistas.
