A loan of $1,075 helped to buy a sack of pea seeds and several sacks of organic manure.

Bacilio's story

Bacilio is 52 years old and lives with his common-law wife, 46 year-old Bertha. They have one son, Antony, who is 8 years old. They live together as a family in their own home which is located in the village of Cumutay.

Bacilio's main business activity is farming. He has been growing, fertilizing and carefully looking after crops for 20 years. His potato, pea and corn crops are the best in his area. However, this successful man does not only grow crops, he also cares for his cows, sheep and also donkeys who transport manure and also the products that he harvests. He distributes his crops in the cities of Tarma and Huasahuasi. He also takes them to the city of Lima.

Bacilio is thinking of growing fewer peas and strengthening his potato crops which will provide good results. This is his seventh loan with MFP and, as a long-standing member of his community bank, he feels grateful for all the support that he receives from the other members. He will use his loan to buy a sack of pea seeds and several sacks of organic manure.
