A loan of $550 helped to buy wholesale ingredients to continue making food.

Adela's story

Adela, age 36, lives in her own house with her life partner and their two small children. She puts forth great effort every day to continue getting ahead. For four years this enterprising woman has been selling food at a bus stop in the zone where she lives. At four every afternoon she takes her grill and starts selling pieces of chicken and beef heart. She cooks them on the grill at the bus stop. Time has allowed her to win various customers, mostly the workers of the bus lines at the stop. They eat her food because they know it tastes good and for the prices.

What she does not like about her work is that there is plenty of competition selling food in the area. Therefore, she needs to take great care in the good presentation and the prices of the grilled food. As she is a woman who always plans for the future, she plans to establish a restaurant where she would offer all types of dishes. This is the way she hopes to get ahead.

This is her fourth loan with MFP, and she pledges to make her payments on time. She does not want to disappoint the people who made this loan possible. The loan allows her to continue working as she seeks to make progress. Adela plans to use the requested loan to buy wholesale ingredients that she needs to prepare her dishes. She wants to increase her earnings.
