Youba's story

Monsieur Youba K. is 40 years old and he lives in a polygamous family with his four children and his wives in the town of Konobougou in the Barouéli prefecture in the fourth administrative region of the Republic of Mali.

He provides entertainment at social events and is in high demand in this area. In addition to this activity, he is also a trader.

In order to better satisfy his customers, he decided to broaden his sector by selling electronic devices in a shop called "Japan Electronique" beside the tarmac road in Konobougou. He is on his second individual loan, after having repaid the first loan.

Monsieur K. intends to use this loan to buy memory cards for cell phones and accessories.

He stocks up in Bamako at an affordable price and then resells to customers from of all social classes in the town.

He hopes to make an average monthly profit of 75,000 FCFA, which will be used for family expenses and the remainder invested in his business.
