Aminata's story

Ms. Aminata T. is 35 years old, unmarried, and the mother of one child living in a nuclear family in Fana Badialan, a district of Fana City, Region of Koulikoro, Republic of Mali. With her degree from a management institute, the Institut Universitaire de Gestion (IUG), and as a teacher in an elementary school, Aminata also has a side business involving clothing, cosmetics, and footwear. She does this to do better in meeting her personal expenses. She started with a solidarity loan before coming to individual loans. She has paid back her two preceding loans without any problems at all.

For this new loan, Aminata intends to purchase shoes, cosmetics, and clothing.  She gets her supplies in Lomé, the capital of Togo. She sells wholesale to men and women customers of Bamako. She sells retail at work and out of her home.

She plans on having 450,000 francs CFA in profit over the course of her loan cycle.  The profits will be used to meet personal expenses and to cover the loan interest.
