A loan of $550 helped a member to build a bigger coffee shop.

Chamroen's Group's story

This group loan consists of four members who are located in Samraong K'aer village in Kandal province. They selected Mrs. Chamroen S., a 31-year-old married woman, as the group leader. With the loans, the members hope to increase their income to improve their families' standards of living.

Mrs. Chamroen S. earns her living with her coffee shop business. She only has a small shop and a small space for selling coffee. She is now requesting a loan to buy wood to build a bigger coffee shop in order to expand her business activities. Her husband, Mr. Voeun Vuthy, 31 years old, works as laborer in a garment factory. With both of their jobs, they are able to earn some income to support their two children who attend the local school.
