Carlos Ariel's story

Carlos A. is 27 years old, married and currently has no children. He lives in Mata Palos region, in Pueblo Nuevo, Esteli. He is a farmer and grows tomatoes. Carlos started working at the age of 16. His parents owned a small plot of land and his older brother taught him the business. For a time, he emigrated to the neighboring country of Costa Rica where he made a bit of money and then returned home to invest it in growing vegetables. Carlos also has skills in the shoe-making business. For a time, he worked making and repairing shoes. He has also worked buying and selling vegetables such as potatoes, cabbages, sweet peppers, etc. Carlos is requesting this loan to buy farming supplies for his tomato crops. He hopes to use his profits to improve his tomato production for his next harvest. One of his goals is to set up a shoe-maker's workshop to make more income.
