A loan of $375 helped to purchase rolls of fabric.

Sonia's story

Sonia, age 36, lives with her husband Climancio, age 34, and their four children, of whom they only care for the three youngest, as the oldest works. They work together every day to get ahead. This hard-working mother makes all types of polos, for men and women, in a workshop in her home. She works with her husband, her oldest child and a helper. Together they produce a large quantity of polos which they sell wholesale to the large department stores of the city. She is very satisfied, as she makes a regular income from the family business, even though she has to work all day, every day to have success. However, she really enjoys her work as it is very peaceful and she does not have to forget about her housework, and above all the education of her children. As she is a very enterprising woman, in the future she and her husband plan to expand their clothing production business. She wants to start making a larger variety of articles, and she has customers who are making large orders. This is her fifth loan with MFP, and she promises to pay her quotas punctually as she does not want to disappoint those who have made this loan possible. It will allow her to continue working in search of success. Sonia plans to invest the requested loan in the purchase of various rolls of fabric that she needs in order to continue producing the clothing articles that she sells. This way, she hopes to progress.
