Chan's Group's story

Mr. Chan S. is a 31-year-old married man. He was selected as the village bank president by the fifteen members who are located in Krouch village, Kandal province. With the loans, they hope to increase their incomes to improve the living conditions of their families.

Mr. Chan S. is a farmer who owns a plot of land on which he cultivates different vegetables for a living. He faces a problem in that he does not have a water pump to irrigate his crops. Thus, he decided to ask for a loan to purchase a pump.

His wife, Mrs. In Sophy, 30 years old, works as seamstress in a garment factory where she receives a small salary with which to support her family.
This couple has two children: one is attending the local school while the youngest one is 3 years old and not yet of school age.
