Phon's Group's story

Ten members living in Chong Kaoh village in Kandal province are forming this village loan. They have selected Mrs. Phon K., 55 years old, as the village bank president. The members of this village loan will use their portions of the loan to suppO. their different purposes.

Mrs. Phon K. and her husband, Mr. Yorn Syna, are farmers who own 3.50-hectares of land which they use to cultivate rice and corn for a living. They don't have enough money to grow their crops, so Mrs. Phon K. would like to ask for a loan to purchase fertilizer, rice seeds and corn seeds to grow crops.

This farming couple work very hard to suppO. their four children: two are laborers and the others are attending the local school.
