Sope Serigne Fallou Group's story

The SOPE SERIGNE FALLOU solidarity group has been in existence for seven six-month cycles. It is composed of 14 women who all live in the same neighborhood. They are organized by kinship and neighborhood. The group is affiliated with the TAKHIKAO banc villageois. Mrs. COUMB. M., seated in the back row in the left of the photo with her hand raised, is the leader of the group. She is 54 years old, married and the mother of four children. She is also responsible for her stepdaughter. She has a small business selling fabrics and decorative items and has been sewing for several years. With her new loan, she will bolster her purchase of merchandise in order to make a larger profit. Her goal is to expand her business and increase her working capital.
