Silvia Eugenia's story

Silvia Eugenia R. R. is 29 years old, and she is married. She lives with her husband and their children in the Chillanes canton in the Bolívar province. She has three children.

The “Tres de Noviembre” (November Third) Communal Bank is comprised of 28 members. The bank is 90 minutes from the office, and it is in the Chillanes canton limits. This bank is devoted to short cycle agricultural work. They grow rice, bananas, corn, cacao, oranges, and yucca. They have been doing this for a long time.

Silvia Eugenia grows rice, bananas, corn, cacao, oranges and yucca. She buys her products in Mata de Cacao. She makes her sales in the Matilde Esther market, and she sells the products in Bucay.

She is requesting the loan to buy agricultural supplies and fertilizers for her rice, banana, corn, cacao, orange, and yucca crops. The help from the loan will financially help supply her with the necessities. They face challenges like pest infestations, diseases, and climate changes.

Her dream is to improve her family’s quality of life.

She likes to take walks with her children.
