A loan of $800 helped to buy seeds for growing corn.

Zacarias's story

Zacarías is a farmer. He is married to Valeriana and has 5 children. Some of his children already live independently and others are still at school.

Zacarías and his wife were both born in Cochabamba. 18 years ago, for work reasons, they came to the city of Santa Cruz seeking better lives for their whole family. They obtained a plot of land in Pampa el Cosal where they grow crops. They grow corn, peanuts and watermelon. Zacarías is also a livestock farmer because this is a humid area. There is quite a lot of water and everything he grows he sells, with his wife's help, in El Torno market.

Zacarías is a very hard-working person. He will use his loan money to buy seeds for growing corn and also to meet the expenses of preparing his land for sowing. Zacarías is very grateful to the institution for the support he has received.
