El Salvador
Guatajiagua, Morazan, El Salvador / Food Production/Sales

A loan of $250 helped to buy ingredients for making food.

Emilia's story

Emilia has a business selling snacks and vegetables. She is 54 years old and lives with her children and husband. Her children are 20 year-old Marjori and 24 year-old Henry. They live in Guatajiagua, in Morazán department.

Emilia has 15 years of experience in her business. She works from 5.00am to 6.00pm. She learned to cook by attending classes in Guatajiagua. She needs this loan to buy supplies for preparing her sales. She will buy some vegetables for her vegetable business and some for making her meals. She will also buy condiments and meat. This loan will help her to increase her business and grow little by little as a saleswoman.

Emilia dreams of some day setting up a bakery where she will make sweet bread and ordinary bread, since the classes she attended taught her how to bake bread. Her current wish is, through her business, to make the money she needs to cover her household needs and to repay this loan on time.
