A loan of $1,200 helped to buy platinum for her child to sell.

Teat's story

Teat T., 42, produces hand-made brooms to sell, earning an income of $1 per day. T. is married and resides with her husband and three children in Takeo Province, Cambodia, an area known for pre-Angkorean temples. Her husband is a railway worker, earning an income of $4 per day.

The family has to spend $45 on food, $5 on electricity supply and $45 on other necessary expenses every month.

T. is requesting a loan of $1,200 to purchase platinum for one of her children to sell. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house.

This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
