Maria Luz's story

Maria Luz C. T. is 51 years old, married, and lives with her husband and their children in the canton of Chillanes, in Bolívar province. She has four children.

The members of the "Union San Antonio" rural communal bank are based in the precinct of San Antonio, which is in San José del Tambo parish and Chillanes province. Their community is located approximately 150 minutes from the office of Cooperativa San Jose. The members of this group work in short-cycle agriculture, growing corn, cocoa, oranges, and cassava. Collectively, they have many years of experience in this type of work.

Maria Luz plants corn, cocoa, oranges, and cassava. She buys products in the Matilde Esther market and sells her produce in Bucay.

She is requesting this loan to purchase agricultural supplies and fertilizers for cultivating corn, cocoa, oranges, and cassava. With the economic support provided by this loan, she will be able to better meet her needs. She faces challenges like insect plagues and crop illnesses, as well as changes in the climate. Her dream is to buy her own plot of land.

She enjoys visiting different places.
