A loan of $1,075 helped to buy corrugated metal sheets to put a roof on her furniture workshop.

Rocio's story

Rocío is 36 years old. She lives in her own home with her husband and 2 children.

Rocío has been making furniture for 8 years. She makes metal furniture such as beds and bunk beds. She also makes mattresses. Rocio has her furniture workshop in her own home and she works there with her husband from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays she sells the furniture that she made during the week.

Over the years Rocío has seen the profitability of her business and the fact that the people who buy from her like her products best. This rewards the great physical effort that making these items of furniture requires. As she works, Rocío is always thinking of improving and creating new designs for her furniture as this is what guarantees sales. In the future, she would like to own a bigger workshop for making her metal furniture.

This is Rocío's second loan with MFP and she is happy to know that she has financial support. She also likes being part of her community bank because all the members are people that she knows. They are responsible and very supportive of each other.

Rocío is grateful to the people who will fund her loan because it will be very useful to her in making progress with her business. She will invest her loan money in buying corrugated metal sheets to put a roof on her furniture workshop.
