A loan of $375 helped to buy more fabric.

Irma's story

Irma is 57 years old. She lives in her own home with the youngest of her three children. Irma has been sewing for 30 years. She has a workshop in her home and there she sews all kinds of clothes, from formal clothes to casual clothes. The good work that she does means she has a good reputation. This allows her to continue offering this service. Irma has more orders to fill in November and December because during these months there is a lot of demand for formal clothes and dress clothes. Irma enjoys doing this work as it allows her to be at home and set her own hours. She would like to have more stable capital so that she can continue with her sewing work. This is Irma's ninth loan with MFP. She is happy to know that she has financial support. She also likes being part of her community bank as all the members are people that she knows. They are responsible people and very supportive of each other. Irma is grateful to the people who will fund her loan because it will be very useful to her in making progress in her business. She will invest her loan money in buying more fabric.
