A loan of $375 helped buy animals and feed for livestock business.

Salomón's story

Salomon, 29, lives with his wife and their three children in Tambogrande, a semi-tropical area of Peru given over to producing fruits such as mangoes and lemons. Tambogrande is in the Piura region, about four hours from the city of Chiclayo.

Salomon operates a business raising and selling livestock. He raises cattle and sheep at his house, fattening them on grass and balanced feed. When they reach an appropriate size, he sells them to area buyers. He also works as a farm laborer. The income from his business and other work supports his family and helps him improve their standard of living.

Salomon is applying for a loan so that he can buy more animals and a balanced supply of feed for the business. He is asking Edpyme Alternativa for 1,000 new soles so that he can invest the money in his business.
