A loan of $1,000 helped to buy rice, oil, beans, sugar, soda drinks, bread, juices, soap and milk.

Jose Manuel's story

José lives in Santiago de María, in the Usulután department. He lives with his family, and he has three children, aged 18, 14 and 7, who depend on him economically. José runs a shop and a bakery, an activity he started at 17 years old; he works there Mondays to Sundays from very early in the morning. José is 57 years old.
The loan he is requesting at the moment will be used to buy products such as rice, oil, beans, sugar, soda drinks, bread, juices, soap and milk: these are the items his customers request the most, and this loan will precisely help him buying and offering them to his customers, thus increasing his business potential.
He aims to own a large shop and to have a good customers turnout; he also wishes for his children to continue their studies and do better in life.
