A loan of $400 helped to stock her store with merchandise and to make her final repayment on her panettone purchase.

Maria Cleofe's story

Maria is a member of the "Nuevo Amanecer del Cusco" community bank which is located in Huanchac district, in the province and department of Cusco.

Maria is 46 years old. She is single and has one child. Her business is running her grocery store. She would like to use her loan money to buy merchandise so that she can stock her store. She must also finish paying for some of the merchandise that she acquired in the month of November such as panettones, wine, champagne and chocolates for the Christmas season.

Maria tells us that currently her business is doing very well and that she is managing to sell her panettones and chocolates. She is confident with respect to the Christmas season and the New Year. She tells us that last year she sold panettones up until the month of March so she is not worried about selling them all right now.

Maria is requesting this loan to stock her store with merchandise and to meet the last repayment on her panettone purchase. She is happy to be receiving this loan and pledges to make her repayments in a timely manner.
