A loan of $200 helped purchase pasta, wheat, sugar, and corn.

Mirian's story

Mirian is a member of the May 3rd II Communal Bank in the District, Province, and Department of Puno. She is 20 years old and single. This young lady is currently continuing her education.

She has been working with Manuela Ramos for four months. Her first loan was for 300 PEN and invested in her business of making “mana” (a type of candy dough).

Mirian is requesting a new loan in the amount of 500 PEN in order to buy pasta, wheat, sugar, and corn used in making “mana”. She and her parents work together.

Her vision with her business is to become independent, have her own machinery, and establish a store. What she enjoys most about her Communal Bank are the savings and the interest she earns.
