Leidy Rocio's story

Leydy Roció R., 27, works selling cold cuts and since finishing high school when she was just 19 years old she acquired work discipline working as a secretary for a lawyer for four years. Then she was a manicurist for two years. Since she’s always had big dreams when she worked for a renowned cold cut manufacturing firm she started an enterprise using these products taking advantage of the good price they gave her and her proximity to specials.

This is her first loan with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo and with this Kiva loan she will buy special seasonal items like turkeys, ham, sausage and other cured meats.

Leydy lives with her spouse in the 20 de Julio neighborhood in southwest Barranquilla. She has a 2 year old son for whom she dreams of providing wellbeing so that he will have a successful future.

Leydy reports a 16 day rotation in accounts receivable, an inventory turnaround of 11 days. Her debt is 3% and her payment capacity is 97% while her profits on sales is 33%. Leydy is a very special woman who strives daily to be a better mother and in general a better family member.
