A loan of $725 helped to buy sacks of manure and hire laborers to take charge of the planting.

Angelica's story

Angélica, 22, lives with her husband and two children in her own house. Since she was a little girl she has been farming; she learned all the farming techniques back then. Today, together with her husband, she grows potatoes and also raises small farm animals like, guinea pigs that are sold at the local livestock markets in her area. She considers guinea pig sales profitable because income is more frequent whereas she has to wait several months until harvest time to get benefits from farming. For the time being, she will continue to strengthen her crops as well as increase the number of animals she has.

This is her loan #2 from MFP. She is very happy to know that she has financial support. Besides, she enjoys being part of a communal bank because all the members are responsible, mutually supportive people she knows.

She thanks all the people who will fund the loan she’s requesting which will be very useful for her business’ progress. She will use it to buy sacks of manure as well as hire laborers to help her with the next planting cycle.
