Celso Jorge's story

Celso Jorge P. V. is 42 years old. He is married and lives with his wife and children, who are single, in San Miguel canton, in Bolívar province. He has three children.

The members of the Solidarios Chima Chica community bank are located 30 minutes from our San Miguel office, in San Miguel canton. The members of this group work in farming. This is their source of family income. They grown corn and also, in small quantities, potatoes and beans.

Celso grows corn and potatoes. He buys his products in Ambato, Quito and San Miguel and sells them in San Miguel market on Thursdays. He is requesting this loan to buy farming supplies and to pay day laborers. The support of this loan will help him to cover his needs financially. Celso faces challenges such as insect infestations, plant diseases, illnesses and changes in the weather. His dream is to buy a house so that he can leave it to his children. He likes to go out for walks with his family, play volleyball and celebrate fiestas.
