Ki's story

Ki S., 25, is a farmer and produces traditional baskets, earning an income of $2 per day. S. is married and resides with her husband and three children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, an area known for the Angkor Wat Temple. The family has to spend $60 on food, $10 on electricity supply and $10 on other necessary expenses every month. Her husband is a tuk-tuk (a motorized, three-wheeled taxi) driver, earning an income of $3 per day. S. is requesting a loan of $500 to purchase business hours at the airport to provide transportation services. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
