Nurjamal's Group's story

Nurjamal A. is a resident of Kerben, a small town in the south of Kyrgyzstan. She is the leader of this group. She is 39 and married to a driver. Together with her husband, they are bringing up two daughters, and both daughters are in school.

Four years ago, with an initial investment of 5,000 soms, Nurjamal started to sell fruits and vegetables at the market. In this way she earns 7,000 soms per month. With money received from the loan, Nurjamal wants to purchase more fruits and vegetables in order to resell them at the higher price and make some profit.
