Khorn's Group's story

In Yea P'aeu village, Takeo province, this group consists of five people, applying for a group loan. Mrs. Khorn N. leads this group loan and she has been selected by the other group members. Each will use their portion of the loan for different purposes to improve their family's standards of living.

She and husband, Mr. Hul Some, are farmers who own a small piece of land. They grow rice to sell in order to support their family. Mr. Hul Some is also a fisherman. Currently, Mrs. Khorn N. has some problems because her field has infertile soil. There are a lot of insects and the land is far away from an irrigation system. To improve production, Mrs. Khorn N. is asking for a loan to buy fertilizer, pesticides, and gasoline. She has one child who is too young yet to work or study.
